Entry #4: Concept of a Pet

It's crazy how so many people have pets nowadays. The main ones being cats and dogs but there are also 'exotic' pets, such as snakes, birds, lizards, and so much more. Google's definition of a pet is, "a domestic or tamed animal kept for companionship or pleasure". It's funny if you think about how one chooses an animal and makes it a part of their family. Myself for example, I have a Chihuahua mix that I got about 3 years ago a day before New Year's Eve. I think it's a funny concept that we as human do.

According to an article, The Human-Animal Bond throughout Time, the human-animal bond started about 15,000 years ago but it was more of a 'win-win' situation. Animals provided protection and some type of service to people while humans provided food and protection as well. To this day people still offer these services to their pets but some may now go beyond that, such as buying luxuries and gifts for these pets. Some examples:

Like mentioned before I find this a funny concept that we do as humans. We makes these animals part of ones family and spoil them to a certain extent. My dog for example is treated like a child, he gets in trouble if he does something bad and has a schedule for when he eats. He has his own schedule that he follows on a daily basis. I believe everyone should experience having a pet at least once in their life. It can teach them a lot about responsibility and give one companionship.

Entry #8: Frank Ocean and Coachella

Coachella is an annual music festival thrown every year in Indio, California. Its official name is Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. It lasts 2 weekends and you can see performances by many popular artists. This year some popular artists who performed were Bad Bunny, Becky G, Frank Ocean, BLACKPINK, and many more! Over 250,000 people attend this festival every year as it is one of the most popular festival held in the U.S. One of the controversial things to happen at Coachella this year was Frank Ocean's performance. He was supposed to first perform in Coachella in 2020 but due to the pandemic, as well as his brother passing away, this was delayed. Entry Two: One of the Hardest Jobs One Can Do

I believe being a mom is one of the most difficult jobs one could do. Whether you're birthing your baby or not you still have so much to get ready for the arrival of this baby. As well as, any other responsibilities you may already have it can become a lot on your plate. Even before having your baby, you already have a hard job to do. If you're birthing your baby, you already have the difficult job of growing him/her. Your body changes both physically and mentally. You also have the job of getting everything ready for the arrival for your baby; keeping up with doctors appointments, getting a car seat, taking any classes if needed, etc. I'm expected to have my first baby girl this July 2023. I am excited for her arrival but there is so much work to get done before she gets here. It comes with a bit of stress and a lot of hard work but I would do this all over again in a heartbeat.
